Welding Protection
Welding produces a bloom of UV light. Without the appropriate PPE, this light can cause a common condition called arc-eye. Operators can also suffer exposure to various gases which are inhaled unless the correct respiratory protection is worn.
Welding is a dangerous activity for both the welder and others nearby. 3M has over 100 products in their welding protection range. Their Speedglas™ brand, revered in the welding industry, has been extensively researched. Its design originated from 3M engineers observing welders at a Swedish shipyard.
They noticed that when flipping their helmets up and down, welders were susceptible to flashes from others. So 3M set out to create a product allowing welders to see, even with their helmets down. Since the creation of Speedglas, 3M have made it their mission to continue addressing welding PPE challenges. Delta supplies all of the welding PPE you need from 3M.
