Lockdown Notice

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced a nation-wide lock down effective from midnight-Thursday 26thMarch to Thursday 16th April 2020.

As a result, Delta Health and Safety will close at 5pm on Wednesday 25th March and will reopen on Friday 17th April 2020.

During lock down our warehouse will be closed during this period and there will be no deliveries.

Our sales team will be working remotely, as far as possible. Orders can be placed during this time, but we will only be able to fulfill orders after the lock down has lifted, subject to our suppliers.

We do believe that the President has made the correct decision to take these drastic measures early. Hopefully we can all return to work in good health and with less uncertainty about the future on the 17th of April 2020.

Thank you for your understanding in these trying times. We urge you to follow all requirements to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Be encouraged to remain positive. In this time, take time to re-focus, reconnect and determine what is important in your life.

As the world buzzes with the Corona Virus, let’s pause, remember, and spread awareness of a killer that has been around for a long time: Cancer.

Occupational Cancer is cancer that resulted from exposure to something in the workplace. That “something” could include chemicals, fumes, or radiation.

Did you know that 53% of occupational cancer deaths are caused by past Asbestos exposure.

It is estimated that occupational cancer as a result of Asbestos will drop in the next few decades. But greater knowledge, education and regulation is still needed. New chemicals and new processes are constantly changing exposure risks for workers. In the future it is projected that the leading causes of occupational cancer might be silica, diesel engine exhaust, solar radiation, shift work and working as painters.

No death is acceptable. Let’s all work together to ensure the safety and health of ourselves, our colleagues and the greater community.
