The high-end Chemical Protection Clothing (CPC) of decades past was a clumsy combination of materials. Suits made of a mixed selection of Viton, butyl, neoprene and rubber. These suits were generally heavy and cumbersome. This brought a loss of dexterity and restricted movement. Not to mention limited protection against chemical permeation.
Our Alignment with Kappler
Kappler USA pioneered multi-film laminated fabrics. This break away from traditional rubberised products had many benefits. Lighter weight suits offered higher permeation protection and better overall chemical protection. We chose to align with Kappler. The value in their innovation was clear. And so, we brought some of Kappler’s flame-retardant suits into South Africa. This is now a relationship that spans over 20 years.
Fire departments were our first customers for the Kappler range. The flame-retardant suit was a success on two fronts. It gave firefighters better protection than they had before. It was also budget friendly. The procurement departments of the fire stations got more value for their spend.
Over the years the industries we supply has evolved. We extended our offering from fire protection to chemical protection with lightweight exposure suits. The petrochemical industry and food industry followed soon after.
The type 5/6 coverall is our entry level product for disposable coveralls. We source these from our suppliers who are internationally accredited. They control the manufacturing and quality assurance processes from beginning to end. This means you get a consistent and reliable standard of quality.
